Project Victoria: Create a low cost device to give Atari computer users the ability to easily draw or input information into an Atari computer program. The tablet's design was done in 1982 by Atari Corporate Research engineer: Tim Mcguinness who stated:
"The Victoria was geared towards all users and was dirt cheap to
manufacture.
But you are right it is was more of a tracing tool. Total
manufacturing cost
below $25 in quantity. Project died when I left. We
had 4 prototypes
as I recall. One I kept and used a lot over the next couple
of years
until mechanical failure occurred and I tossed it out."
